A full-time prosthodontist at his practice in Scarsdale, New York (USA) , he also has his own digital dental laboratory and has been working with DESS as a KOL since 2022.

A graduate of the University of Washington, he obtained his DMD from the Pennsylvania School of Dentistry and then completed his advanced training in Prosthodontics in New York.

His 38 years of experience in the profession along with his involvement in academia allows him to offer a global view of dentistry and prosthetic restoration.

After completing his Bachelor’s degree at the University of South Carolina UpState, where he pursued a PreDental Program, Dr. Karatzeas obtained his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Medical University of Sofia in 2018. He has been leading his practice since 2020, integrating advanced digital solutions and a patient-centered approach to deliver exceptional care.

Specialist in Implantology, and owner and Clinical Director of the Mayo Dental Clinic Group, a network of five dental clinics serving the Barcelona area. In addition to his practice, Dr. Ignacio Mayo trains other dentists in zygomatic implants and bone rehabilitation, being one of the top surgeons in this specialty in Spain.

His dental education is extensive, holding a degree in Dentistry and a Master's in Oral Prosthetics and TMD from the International University of Catalonia. He also holds two diplomas in Advanced Periodontics and Guided Tissue Regeneration, both obtained from the Complutense University of Madrid.
