DESS team at IDS

Last week was a very eventful week for the whole dental community since the 40th edition of IDS took place in Cologne from Tuesday to Saturday (14-18th March 2023). This year was special because the IDS was celebrating 100 years since the first IDS show took place in 1923.

The IDS is the leading global trade fair for the dental industry, offering the perfect hub for innovation and market trends. Approximately 2,200 exhibitors and over 155,000 visitors prove that IDS 2023 was a big success.

It was a huge honour to be part of this year’s International Dental Show and we, once again, have outdone ourselves, with our eco-stand, especially designed to present our Zero Waste Implants and our most innovative multi-platform digital solutions improved with DESS® technologies: ZrN enhanced surface treatment, SelectGrip (sandblasting) finish, and DESS® PureSwitch concept, which allows full interchangeability of our prostheses and their parts with the implant brand for which they are compatible.

Active Hex and Conical BLT are DESS® new implant systems, the First Zero Waste Implants on the market. We have achieved the Zero waste concept by managing the collection of all the implant packaging. Once the material returns to our installations, we recycle both cardboard box and PET blister. The titanium vial is cleaned according to cleanliness and sterility guidelines until it is fully ready to be re-used. We would not be able to accomplish this process without the collaboration of our clients, thus we offer them a free implant for every 10 sets of full packaging returned. We have come full circle by creating a process that ensures full sustainability of the product’s lifecycle.

 

One of our newest solutions, which we presented at the trade show in question, is DESS® new CLEAN FIT™ Abutments, our fixed/removable solution that offers a fixed restoration feel whilst introducing a technology that improves the removal of the prosthesis which benefits the patient’s oral health. It is compatible with Atlantis® conus concept and Syncone®.

We also chose the IDS as the platform to present one of our latest digital solutions: DESS® new ASC PRE-MILLED BLANKS, which allows the design of custom abutments with Angulated Screw Channel.

All in all, we had 5 full days in which DESS® team worked tirelessly to bring the best we have to offer. Our Sales Team, Technical Support and Marketing Teams, as well as Management, were hands on meeting new and current clients, presenting all our products and services and answering all the queries that visitors may have had.

Events such as the International Dental Show are a great opportunity to exchange experiences with both professionals and clients. It is great to interact with our clients, not only to present our best solutions, but also to get their feedback which allow us to improve and be more efficient for them.
